Biography

Ingrid Abramovitch is the author of Restoring a House in the City, a new book about restoring townhouses, brownstones, and other older urban residences. A former features editor at House & Garden, where she worked for ten years, and Martha Stewart Living, she is now a senior editor at Artisan Books in New York. She has written widely on design, architecture, and lifestyle for such publications as The New York Times, Elle Décor, and Cookie. Born in Montreal, Ingrid lives in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, with her husband Joel Simon and their two daughters.
